Every year, robots are bought on trust. A manufacturer describes the machine. A video is sent. A specification sheet is shown. And increasingly, a demonstration — carefully chosen, often edited, always filmed by the person who wants to sell.
And the buyer, often a security firm, an energy company, a rail operator, or a police unit, commits tens of thousands of euros on nothing more than a story.
Some of those robots are exactly what the manufacturer says. Many are not. Payload that collapses under real load. Battery life that only exists on paper. Software that fails in the field. Certification that was never completed. By the time the buyer knows, the money is gone and the robot is already on site.
None of this is the manufacturer's fault alone. There has simply been no independent European way to check. No named distributor. No signed compliance. No local support.
A manufacturer's video shows you what the manufacturer wants you to see. Dutch Robo shows you the robot as it is — tested, documented, certified, and supported by people with no interest in the sale.
The buyer does not need another opinion. The buyer needs evidence.
